At Biomiq, our mission has always been to advance wound, skin and surgical care by harnessing the natural power of hypochlorous acid (HOCl). Complex wounds such as diabetic ulcers, pressure sores, and burns require consistent antimicrobial activity and gentle, sustained care. Liquids are helpful, but they can evaporate quickly or run off before fully delivering their benefits. That’s where PureGel™ steps in.
As a gel, PureGel™ stays in place longer than liquid formulations, maintaining contact with the wound bed and peri-wound tissue, giving the gel’s pure, stable hypochlorous acid molecules ample time to kickstart its cascade of beneficial effects. For wounds that demand care over a longer term, this sustained contact is not just helpful, it’s critical.
Precision Where It Matters
The pump dispensing design of PureGel™ offers caregivers and clinicians an easy, targeted application method.
After a wound has been properly cleansed with our PureCleanse™ solution by irrigation or a saturated gauze compress of the area, clinicians can then apply the appropriate amount of PureGel™ directly to the affected site before dressing the wound, resulting in extended delivery of HOCl and maximizing its benefits in the healing process.
Comfort and Care in One Soothing Application
We also considered how traditional wound dressings can be painful, awkward, or even harmful, especially for patients with burns or delicate skin. PureGel’s smooth, cooling texture provides a soothing alternative that doesn’t tug, rub, or adhere uncomfortably. In fact, it does well when refrigerated before use, making the cooling effect that much more effective. PureGel™ is particularly ideal in caring for burns, where comfort, coverage and dressing protocol are all essential.
